2. Hat Creek Resort
This is a great place for outdoor lovers! Pitch a tent bring your RV or rent a cabin. You’ll love fishing for wild trout on Hat Creek and you will enjoy the many things to do in the surrounding area. Check out Subway Cave go for a hike or bring your ATV and let the fun begin!

3. Houseboats at Shasta Lake
People come from all over the world to play in our backyard, and houseboating is one of the many popular things they do here in the summer. Get together with a handful of friends and rent a houseboat for a weekend.

4. Patrick’s Point

5. Castle Crags
Located six miles south of Dunsmuir off I-5, Castle Crags State Park features soaring spires polished by glaciers of ancient granite and about two miles from the quick running upper Sacramento River and lovely Castle Creek.

6. Lassen National Park
Lassen Park contains nearly every type of volcanic feature and is unmatched in its variety, but it also contains lush old-growth forests, clear mountain streams and lakes and remnants of ancient mountains long gone.

7. McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park
The park is an hour’s drive from Redding and offers forest and five miles of streamside and lake shoreline, including a portion of Lake Britton. The park’s centerpiece is the 129-foot Burney Falls, possibly the most beautiful waterfall in the state, spilling 100 million gallons a day from underground.

8. Bridge House Bed & Breakfast

9. Girard Ridge Lookout Tower
